Fodder Rack

There is a bakers rack style of rack that has 18 x 14 shelves. These fit the standard seedling trays well and allows a little over hang on each end. I have wood blocks to hold up the end so the trays drain through holes I have drilled in the bottom along one short side edge. The trays are on the rack with the drain holes in alternating left /right order. This way the water drains from the top tray to the bottom in a zig zag pattern. The bottom tray has no holes and catches the draining water from the last tray.

I have added automotive strip lights to the bottom of the shelves so that they provide grow lights for each shelf except the top. This shelf has the newly set out seeds so light there is not needed. We harvest one tray a day and have a 7 tray system. We also opted to add the wheels to the rack so we can easily move it around our kitchen.
