Mini and Micro Gaming Kiosk

Small gaming devices for tabletop use. The mini Incorporated a custom computer package with a 21" LCD screen and touch screen. The micro was designed to hold an iPad and provided the ability to rotate from portrait to landscape modes.

Multi-Touch Gaming Table

Mechanical design to hold a 83" touchscreen surrounded by twelve 21" touchscreens. Each screen had it's own dedicated computer contained in a custom enclosure. Custom lift elevated the 600lb table top for access to the electronics and other mechanical systems.

Bingo Laptop and Support System

Conceived and developed a custom laptop designed to play Bingo. Designed around the newly released Motorola DragonBall processor and 640x480 color LCD. Featured IR networking and 16 hr battery life.

Triathlon Personal Data logger and Training System

Designed pager sized device allowing athlete to record their heart rates through out their exercise program. Data points can be flagged for identification i.e. start of swim, bike or run cycles. Performance data is sent via the internet to sports medical professionals for analysis.

SS7 Telephony Middleware

Developed middleware software to process phone calls for the German Cell Phone Voicemail. This project also included a full telephone central office simulator.

Process Control Systems

Developed a line of process controllers specifically targeting the Semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Featuring direct digital motor and solenoid control. Analog values for temperature and gas flow control. Unique to these designs was some of the first commercial use of asymmetrical multiprocessor technology.

VAX750 Speedup Product

Conceived and built a product that, after being plugged onto the backplane of a VAX 750, allowed it to process as fast as a VAX780. Unique to this design was the ECL based predicting engine which analyzed the next microcode instruction to be executed and to provide the system clock with just enough time to successfully perform the instruction. Clock resolution was in 5 ns increments.

Portable Theatrical Lighting Equipment

Developed a line of portable lighting equipment featuring remote power control. Controlling up to 1200 watts per channel with 16 channel units.

Package Test System Controllers

Created systems to control impact and vibration tables. Linear non-contact measuring products to 18 feet in .25 inch resolution allowed precise prediction of impacts. Utilizing high power hydraulic systems the vibration tables were able to simulate trucks, trains and airplanes.

Diagnostic Systems for Apple Computer

Both direct, via keyboard simulators and indirect control via software register control, diagnostics were developed to qualify application software and the computers themselves. As part of the Apple's Worldwide diagnostic community these products were widely distributed. TVMan on of the products in the series was published on the Developer CD as example of how to write Macintosh software.

Development Systems for Atari Games

Developed a product that had all of the abilities of the Atari 2600 game system with the additional connections to backend systems which provided the code assemblers. This allowed the game programmers a platform for their work and the ability to test the code in realtime.

Medical Gas Analyzer Hardware Platform

A 16 level 32 bit event control stack became the core of this 68000 based realtime control system. Implemented in Actel FPGAs a compact and high performance cost effective product was developed.

Ethernet Interface for Post Office Legacy Machinery

The US post office processing centers are filled with legacy equipment with no ability to inter operate with the other. Workflow analysis was needed and information from the equipment was required to provide this information. I developed ethernet controllers for these legacy systems to provide this interoperability.
