Rain Catcher

There is a 4" cleanout to get rid on the heavy solids like silt and roof shingle grit. The floating stuff generally goes through the overflow. The overflow is 4" as well so it handles a considerable amount of rainfall. I have a 125 Gallon tank on my system which is pictured here. Any size of tank can be accommodated. All of it is pretty straight forward. The standpipe between the Wye at the top and the Tee sets the "full" water level in the tank. A hidden feature is a wad of nylon screen in the short 2" pipe section off the tee. It is reachable through the cleanout plug at the bottom.
